To order cPanel/WHM for your VPS/Dedicated server, submit a ticket with your request to our Billing/Sales department.

PLEASE NOTE: cPanel can be ordered only with the CentOS 7 (cPanel 64 Bit) operating system.

cPanel/WHM is provided at the additional cost of $9.88/month with a VPS Hosting and from $14.88/month with Dedicated servers. After your request to add cPanel is received, the corresponding invoice will be issued to you.

The invoice will be generated on a prorated basis in order to match your hosting package billing cycle. Once the invoice is paid, cPanel/WHM will be installed on your server.

PLEASE NOTE: Once you purchase the VPS or Dedicated hosting server along with the cPanel license, you will have a limitation in the cPanel accounts creation. Please refer to this article to find more information regarding the Tier pricing.

  • After cPanel/WHM installation all the content of your server will be lost. Please make sure that you have a backup of your files.
  • Per our policy, refunds do not apply to cPanel licenses that are purchased at an additional fee.
  • After the cPanel license purchase, you can choose the cPanelSolo (1 account) or Tier One.

First, choose a new operating system for your VPS/Dedicated server.

Please note that the operating system (OS) change requires you to set up your VPS/Dedicated server again.

You can proceed with the update on your own, or feel free to request assistance from our support team.

Manual operating system change on Dedicated Server

If you choose to switch your operating system manually, you are solely responsible for the changes made on you Dedicated server. Thus, please make sure that you acknowledge your actions as we will not be able to help you in case of any issues since we don't know your service configurations.

Since your server will be reset, and all the data will be lost, you need to take the following steps:

1. Create a full backup of your service and save it on your computer.

2.Once this is done, contact our Billing/Sales with your request, indicating the root password you use to access your Dedicated server.

3.Our Technical department will help you to set up your server again and notify you about its completion.

4.Restore the backup on your Dedicated server.

Let’s talk about what Linux distributions are and the differences between the ones we provide.

Linux distribution is an OS that is built upon the Linux kernel, which is the core of the OS that handles memory as well as input/output requests from software, etc. A full Linux distribution consists of the kernel plus a number of other software tools for file-related operations, user management, and software package management.

A package manager is an important part of an OS and is a set of tools that automates installing, upgrading, configuring, and removing software for an OS.

Choosing the distribution comes down to personal preferences, user goals, and requirements of the software that is planned for use. For example, cPanel can only be installed on CentOS, CloudLinux and AlmaLinux.

Below we will describe each of the available distributions in more detail.

PLEASE NOTE: With Dedicated Server Hosting you are not limited to options listed below if you’re able to perform the Operating System (OS) setup on your side.
